Herbs as bed enclosure

How about a bed enclosure of herbal plants? It does not always have to be boxwood.
Many herbs can be cut in form and grow over time to form compact bushes. So you can make an attractive contrast or an attractive complement to the plants in the bed depending on your color choice.

A good choice are evergreen semi-shrubs such as lavender, sage, thyme, hyssop or winter savory.
