Lawn care before winter

In order for the lawn to survive the winter well, it should be mowed once more before the frost - not too short, so as not to weaken the grasses. An average height of about 3 inches (6 cm) is recommended.
Fallen leaves should be removed so that the grass does not rot under the damp cover of the leafs. It is convenient, when you can collect the leaves with the mower. The mixture of grass and foliage is very suitable for composting.
If you then apply lime to the lawn, you strengthen the grass and prevent moss and felt. So the lawn is well prepared for the winter rest.
