ARTiculture at the Philadelphia Flower Show

"ARTiculture - where art meets horticulture” was the motto for this year’s Philadelphia Flower Show, hosted by the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society (PHS). Horticulture experts and hobbyists alike were invited to experience in how many ways art and horticulture can be connected.
The organizers have partnered with eighteen art museums across the US and gave exhibitors particular artwork or collections as inspiration for their displays. Greeted by an aerial dance ensemble in the Grand Hall, guests can stand in awe studying the completed work prompted by the rise of American ballet to artists like Wassily Kandinsky or Steve Tobin. Additional attractions and sideshows include wine tastings, flower workshops and cooking demonstrations to name only a few.
The Philadelphia Flower Show is the oldest indoor flower show in the country and was first held in 1829 and welcomes more than 265,000 visitors each year.
